Rev. Kristin Schultz, Pastor (pastorkristin@allsaintsabq.org)
Pastor Kristin grew up in the North Valley of Albuquerque, in the home where her parents still live and her kids love to play. Her family attended St. Paul Lutheran Church. New Mexico was a great place to grow up; but, looking for something different, Kristin went off to St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Over the course of the next 10 years she completed BA degrees in math and religion; did study travel in Italy, Israel, Zimbabwe, and Kenya; worked in AIDS ministry; completed an internship year in Detroit; and finally graduated from Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago in 1999.
Also in 1999, Kristin married Lee Liming, and they moved to Palatine, IL. Kristin was ordained in December 1999, and her first congregation was All Saints Lutheran church in Palatine. It was an amazing congregation, and it was hard to leave in 2003, when Kristin decided to go on leave from call to care for her growing family. In 2006, Kristin and Lee, along with sons Evan and Noah, moved back to Albuquerque to be near family. In 2008, Micah was born. Kristin did part-time interim and supply preaching work but focused on caring for three young boys.
In 2011, Kristin was ready to go back to work, and started at St. Michael and All Angels as Youth and Family Minister. For five and a half years, Kristin continued at St. Michael’s during transition from a senior minister of 30 years, through two interims, and finally the start of a new senior minister. Her role changed from Youth and Family to Associate Pastor, working with the congregation through grief, anxiety, searching, discovering their strength and identity, and starting on new paths in ministry.
Kristin is excited to be at All Saints as we move forward in ministry together, seeking to follow God’s call to serve here on Albuquerque’s west side.
Rev. Dr. Kate Schlechter, Visitation Pastor
Kate Schlechter's pastoral experience includes over thirty years of experience in the ELCA. Ordained on March 8, 1993 in Great Falls, Montana to serve St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kailua, HI, one motto has undergirded her pastoral calling all these years: “Life is a pilgrimage.” Grounded in one of her favorite Biblical passages, “Choose life so that you and your descendants may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19), her spiritual pilgrimage has been guided by the Holy Spirit into a myriad of ministerial settings: from service in the mission fields of Japan, to campground ministry in Minocqua WI, and settled calls in Hawaii, Wyoming, Arizona, and California. One of her passions is walking with congregations in transition as both a bridge pastor and an intentional interim pastor who is “committed to deepening and expanding innovative education in a changing world." Her background as a Marriage and Family Therapist, in addition to a specialization in pastoral care and counseling, inform her ministry and has led her to obtain a PhD in Mythology with an emphasis in Depth Psychology.
Krysta Fajardo, Office Administrator
Krysta is married and has a beautiful 6-year-old boy. She graduated from Southern Utah University and was blessed to work for 10 years in her career before taking a break to be a full-time mom. More blessings came in the form of a part-time clerical job she worked from home as she spent extra time advocating for her son and getting him all the therapy he needed in his early years. She is so grateful to be here at All Saints.
Erin Reil, Music Ministry Coordinator
Erin Reil earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from UNM and is certified in the Kodály methodology of teaching music. She enjoys coordinating and directing the music ensembles at All Saints. A lifelong Lutheran, Erin has called All Saints her church home since 2002.
Nathan Cleaveland, Organist and Pianist
A graduate of St. Olaf College, Nathan Cleaveland has played the piano since the age of three, and was intensely involved in music while growing up in Atlanta, GA. He has performed as the collaborative pianist for many of the choirs at St. Olaf, and began taking organ lessons in his second year there. After graduating, he continued living and working in Northfield, MN, serving as the Organist and Choir Director at All Saints Episcopal Church for two years, and collaborating often with the St. Olaf music department. Since relocating to Albuquerque, he continues to teach virtual piano lessons to his studio of Minnesota students.
